Why one needs to go for a teacher training course?

Teaching is considered to be one of the largest professions around the world and those who are teachers; their major responsibility is to shape up one’s career along with helping them to learn some good values.

When it comes to teachers, there are various types of teachers ranging from pre primary, primary, high school and special education teachers. One can go for teacher training course if they want to enrol as a teaching staff in a Montessori school or Primary or Secondary school. Special education teacher training is something where one learns on how to work with children who face difficulty in learning and have physical, emotional and other issues. Teachers get to learn all the basic skills regarding literacy and the communication techniques with the students. In fact, in these specific teaching courses, one can get to learn how to nurture children and how to contribute to their overall development.

As it has been mentioned above, individuals are trained to become teachers at different levels like nursery teachers, primary teachers, high school teachers and then special teachers. Teacher training is mandatory

In order to become a teacher in India, one has to have a bachelor’s degree first under any subject. After that one needs to enrol for a B.Ed course. After competing that, one can also try and get a masters degree in the same which is known as the M.Ed. More the qualification, the better chance is there for one’s employability. There are many training institutes where one can get enrolled.

Apart from B.Ed and M.Ed, one can also opt for the Basic Training Certificate or one Diploma in Education depending where an individual’s interest lies on. If one wants to go for government jobs and central board schools then need to appear for CTET. This examination is held by the CBSE to appoint both primary and secondary teachers.

One should not forget that they have to acquire at least 55 percent in the B.Ed examination in order to become a teacher. But this may vary from one school to another. There are many national and state level examinations are organised in order to get admission in the B.Ed programs.

One can also opt for online courses these days if they are already teaching in a school or doing some other courses and want to go ahead with this in order to give some boost to their teaching career.

There are number of teaching jobs in India as per one’s academic qualification and one can check on the job profiles available before applying. From elementary to primary to high schools, one can apply to any of them but it depends on the teaching courses they have gone through. It is the basic to begin a career in teaching.
